Re: pcmcia cdrom boot prob. by scorpio on August 13th, 2004 02:40:59 AM Yes. Download the bootdisk for Windows 98 from BootDisk.com and boot the computer with CD-ROM support when it asks whether you want the CDROM support or not. |
Re: pcmcia cdrom boot prob. by therisk on August 13th, 2004 03:14:10 AM I've tried that. Got the bootdisk for win98 OEM for Bootdisk.com and still can't recognize my pcmcia cdrom. |
Re: pcmcia cdrom boot prob. by scorpio on August 16th, 2004 03:11:26 AM Try this:
After booting from boot disk. type
MSCDEX
it should display its help info.
then use the command with appropriate parameters to enable your cd rom.
if you do not have mscdex in your boot disk. use any friends pc and copy that file onto your disk. |
