Shared Printer Password affects XP and NT PCsConfiguration:
I have a problem about Password on shared printer blocking printout from XP PCs. This printer allows all jobs from any PC on my LAN after putting the password but does not print jobs from XP or NT PCs. I need urgent help. What can I do?

According to Symantec its safer to have all shared resource protect by a password, so I put this password on all shared resources.

(Symantec suggests that you do not share the root of drive C. Share specific folders instead. These shares must be password-protected with a secure password. Do not use a blank password)
