IBM Netvista 6792-22U - no beeps no nothingConfiguration:
Smelled burning from computer. Looked like the CPU and heatsink. Replaced both, and systemboard, then no power so I replaced power supply. Now I don\'t get anything on the monitor. I changed video card with none good - still nothing.

Additional Comments:
Thought I might have received doa parts, so I replaced the sys. board, cpu and heatsink again. Even tried updating the bios.
Operating System : xp professional
CPU/Processor : pentium 400 MHz
RAM : IBM Actual:356 MB

the problem seems to with the power supply, make sure its plugged in properly.
coz if it reached the self test state then beep/long beep should come telling that RAM is fine or not.
check the power supply again.
i hope u didnt forget to push that power switch to the 'ON' position in the main power line/ the smps,....

There is no "on" in the main power line (I looked up smps on the internet - and not sure what i'm looking for) I used a working power supply from another pc before I replaced the cpu and systemboard the second time.
