slow response to right click on desktopConfiguration:
After installing IE6/SP1 I suddenly find that right clicking on certain types of icons produces a VERY slow response. For example:

Right-click on Add-Remove Pgms, Internet Options, and the Recycle Bin provides the normal, nearly instant response. But right clicking on Service, Administrative Tools, or icons tied to .exe files causes a delay of as much as 30 to 60 seconds.

I've checked for virus and spyware issues using multiple products and, as suggested by MS personnel, run SFC. Neither action helped.

Anyone seen this or got any ideas?

Thanks,

-Danny.

Ghost --

Just to be completely clear, did you remove and then reinstall IE6w/SP1, or did you just remove IE6 altogether and your system is now using a different version of IE or a different browser altogether?

Thanks,

-Danny.
