No OS FoundConfiguration:
My pc has been up and running with xp pro for about 6 months and I turned it on one day and it said no operating system found. I tried the disk as a slave driveon another pc to see if the files were still there and I couldn't get the other pc to even boot, so I reinstalled but with 2003 server instead. I was going to anyways so it was a good time... Well all went well and the next time I turned it on the same thing - no os found. So I reinstalled this time on a new hd, server 2003 standard. And yet again, after shut down, no os found. Help please... Operating System : Windows 2003 Standard server

Motherboard : Intel Xeon
Hard Disk : maxtor, Space: 40 GB

Is your master boot record writable/ protected? Make sure it is writable when installing a new OS. After installation is over, you may make it read-only.

check the motherboard battery, it may have ran out and needs replacement, thats what had happened with me.
