Re: Computer Boot problem by Anonymous Ghost on August 11th, 2005 11:26:36 PM Just built a system using a Biostar mainboard NF4UL-A9. Had the system up and running great and then after entering setup I disabled quick power on self test. To be honest I'm still not sure why I did it. Anyways when I saved the changes the computer rebooted but now when I hit f9 to try and reenter setup or hit f1 to get to windows a screen comes up with just a blinking dash and that is as far as I can get. Can I get back into setup somehow or is the mainboard junk now? Hope I didn't mess it up but I'm out of ideas. |
Re: Computer Boot problem by Anonymous Ghost on August 11th, 2005 11:45:02 PM Well you can get back into setup the following way:
Open the case of your cabinet. Remove the CMOS battery 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, insert it again.
Now boot the system, the default system configuration will be loaded.
Happy nibbleguruing :) |
