i put xp on laptop (hp omnibook) but it cant cope & i need to go back to 95 or 98. how do i override xp or delete hdd? it seems to be that you cant DOWNgrade an o/s. WHY NOT??

HDD & memory is too small for xp, i bought it cheap as chips with 95 on & thought i could squeeze xp on. i think now maybe 98 but i cant shift xp.
