Missing shelliconcache folderConfiguration:
From what I know, it is supposed to be replaced automatically once it hasn't been detected by the OS. But, it hasn't been there for a long time and no replacement has been made. Now my icons changes randomly. TweakUI from Microsoft is merely replacing the icons but not fixing the root cause. MaxIconCache is not working. Operating System : Microsoft windows XP SP2

I have the same problem.
Many icons are showing as if they have no file associations and my boot-drive C: also has lost it's usual icon.

Any help would be appreciated.
