Web BrowsersConfiguration:
ok this is my problem and I need answers fast before I throw this computer out since I've had it fixed many times before. My internet explorer about 4 weeks ago began to run slow therefore I contacted my isp becuase someone who uses Dsl shouldnt get slow speeds. they couldn't help me soooooo.. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and thus I realized My Dsl was perfectly Fine however It was Internet explorer that wasn't working. I've tried many things to try to fix it becuase even though MFirefox works perfectly fine... it takes up to 5 minutes to load up more or less. So one day it actually loaded up quickly then i checked My internet explorer and it was working again later on i turned my Computer back on and it ran slow again. I can't stand it anymore Firefox works good but takes too long IE only works rarely and other browsers are just as slow like aol explorer or opera. Ive searched throughout the web for an answer to my problem and they said to reapair it however im running windows xp which doesn't come with the repair tool. Spyware and adware isn't much of a problem. And I need my internet explorer working as soon as possible becuase im sick of Firefox taking forever to load up. please help now.

Additional Comments:
ps sometimes when paying an online game it runs horribly slow to load it loads pretty quick but the game play goes in slow motion or a command takes a couple of seconds to atleast work.
Operating System : windows xp professional

In this scenario, the best recommendation I have is to take backup of your data.

If you have any restore points created in your machine, then restore your PC or else, format and install windows XP again.

should work like a charm thereafter. Dont forget to install SP2 (service pack2) of windows xp.
