| IE6 Running Slowly | Configuration: |
As with many other users of this site, my IE6 running in XP Professional has suddenly slowed right down. I have a cable connection going through a router and my Mac's are not affected. I've run Adaware and have the latest Norton AntiVirus definitions etc.. I've downloaded and run HiJackThis and here is the result:

Don't woory....I've managed to fix it!
After visiting several support fourms, I realised that others with the same problem had recently downloaded and installed some genuine Windows updates....including me!!
So I simply did a quick system restore and you guessed it, all is now fine.
It appears that something in one of the updates is probably not compatible with a piece of software or hardware I'm running, but as I downloaded several updates at the same time, I'll have to go back and do them one at a time before I can identify the one causing me problems (bore). A job for when I have a little more time on my hands, I think!
