when send email the account times out
Email stays in outbox but is in fact sent? So next log on it tries to send again until it times itself out etc.
Additional Comments:

And you can still receive, right?
How big is the message?
Any firewalls or Antivirus programs?
1. This is a possible corruption of the pop3uidl file. Close your internet connection and all programs. Search for the file pop3uidl and delete it. Reconnect and it should work.
2. Repeat step 1 with a reboot before you check your mail again.
3. You may have a corrupt or a very large file attachment on the mailserver. Large file attachments, mail that are missing headers, or mail that do not conform to the mail RFC's can cause this. |

I am running XP service pack2 and PC-Cillin and this is the exact problem I am having,"A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Subject 'attach', Account: 'mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'mail.bigpond.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19"
emails where ok when running millenium but after upgrade cant send with attackment any bigger that about 100KB Microsoft are no good I have been through 5 different Tech's and still nothing ANY HELP LOVED |

Hi - I, too, have this same problem. Although I always can tell when it is happening as an error box pops up with the error detail area BLANK -- no error details whatsoever. I tried Ghost's suggestion above to delete the pop3uidl (but did not fix). Tried deleting Outbox.dbx (didn't work). It has nothing to do with an inbound file as I've verified that. For me, this started about the time XP SP2 was installed. I do have Panda Antivirus Titanium 2005 on my computer but so does my coworker and she has no problems. If you ever figure out a solution, please do share! |

mail is not sending while doing send/recieve but mail is recieving.when we restart comp all mails send properly,this is happen to only one user.Before sending mail to user outlook express show in sent items
please give me the clue through which i can solve the problem

I am also experiencing this problem. I know this is not the SMTP server as i have tested multiple smtp servers on another machine connected to the same router with the same settings and same anti-virus and it sends fine. My outlook express seems to just be causing problems.
Any file that has an attachment even 10kb the SMTP server stops responding. Small emails without attachments are fine.
I am unable to solve this problem and have tried the above. Out of ideas, out of caffeine and jumping out the building looks like a good idea at the moment. |
