Same here robynanne2@aol.com my hard drive was destroyed and computer tech did had to format I guess and re-install from a restore disk. It came pre installed. Amazing how much we rely on the darn program.

I lost 2000 office cd code and couldn't reinstall on my NEW(XPhome)computer. I FOUND MY CODE on OLD(98ME)computer where MSOffice IS currently installed and working. 1st, I located text file "Office 2000 Premium Setup(0002)_MsiExec.txt" with `Search' (hidden & sys included). Open file and use EDIT/FIND function to find "PIDKEY". (I.E. JT226VW6Q298R74W3VHMB9T2T was my 25 digits. Yours will be unique & may be listed differently. If no "PID", ck any 25#'s that `finds' using just "ID". Good luck. It was a nightmare. I resent MSft so much now I'm dumping all my stock. |

call microsoft or the supplier of your pc. if you use the same key as everyone else it will install and work but if you need updates or stuff like that they will not come through to you. |

from Jan, 19 (thanks for the post). And it did say it would only work for 49 uses unless I activate it. I activated it over the phone and they did not give me any trouble. I wonder for how many times (people) this will work for using the same key.
