Just today I am unable to open word using the shortcut on my desktop. When I click on the shortcut something flashes and I get a application message in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen but word dose not open. I have tried removing office and doing a re-install to no avail however other users are able to run word with no problems

Press alt+tab and then set it to maximize the next time u open word it will open in a maximized window. |

Try this. Choose the "RUN" option from your start menu and type in one of the following and click enter. Hope this works!!!
1) winword /a
2) winword /safe |
