| Email stuck in Spooler MS Outlook 97 | Configuration: |
An email is stuck in the spooler in my MS 97 version of outlook. I cannot delete or cancel the activity.
Additional Comments: Looking for options. MY outlook now doesn\\\\\\\'t recieve or send mail. I cannot seem to uninstall Outlook 97, cannot find any such menu. Any advice on how to (in this order) unjamb the spooler or uninstall Outlook 97 (or even all of Office)

Re: Email stuck in Spooler MS Outlook 2000 by Anonymous Ghost on January 06th, 2005 12:27:36 PM I have a file stuck going out. It has several large attachments. The error msg is "MAPI spooler has already started sending this file." I haven't found a solution to delete the file.

Re: Email stuck in Spooler MS Outlook 97 by Anonymous Ghost on January 21st, 2005 07:54:01 PM My ISP told me that improper email in my inbox on the server can cause this. Access your email via webmail (your ISP will give you the url) and delete the offending email. I've had to do this twice in the last month (SPAM messages were the problem). |
Re: Email stuck in Spooler MS Outlook 97 by duckherd on January 23rd, 2005 03:01:08 PM I had the same problem for the past week and it drove me up the walls! I did everything from reinstalling Outlook 97 (aka ALL of Office 97)to finally accessing my email thru my ISP's root server. What caused the problem was probably a spam email I inadvertantly started opening and then before it finished opening I stopped the action which wanked the MAPI Spooler and alerted my ISP to a problem email. By accessing my email through my ISP's server, I deleted the emails I normally would not have opened anyway and Outlook has been functioning fine ever since. Moral: Delete those pieces of crap emails before you open them no matter how enticing the prices of software look or how much of an erection you think you need! |
