When I try to reinstall Office 97 (after having my computer reformatted) it says "Htmlmarq.ocx was unable to register itself in the system registry." When I click 'OK' it says that the install was incomplete. Please help. Thank you much. |

Found a workaround to install office97 on an XPSP2 level machine. The workaround is to run office97 setup and uncheck the "Web Page Authoring (HTML)" in office97 setup options. It will then install fine. However of course you lose the "HTML web page authoring" option in office97 |

originally had windows 95. bought office 97 Pro & installed o.k. - updated to windows 98 - had a virus and did system restore. cannot re-install Office 97. Says I have to own qualifying products. Microsoft "Support" says it is obsolete. Can you help? |

The second part of the key in Office 97 only had to be divisible by 7. Ohh the days of lax security.
