Installing Office 97Configuration:
Reformated Hard Drive because of Spyware Problem. Computer came with a trial version of Office 2003 but no keys so I uninstalled it and am trying to install Office 97 (professional). I keep getting the error "Windows
System32\Autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and Microsoft Windows" What can I do to fix or get this program to install?
Operating System : Windows XP
CPU/Processor : AMD Athlon 3200 MHz

When I try to reinstall Office 97 (after having my computer reformatted) it says "Htmlmarq.ocx was unable to register itself in the system registry." When I click 'OK' it says that the install was incomplete. Please help. Thank you much.

Found a workaround to install office97 on an XPSP2 level machine. The workaround is to run office97 setup and uncheck the "Web Page Authoring (HTML)" in office97 setup options. It will then install fine. However of course you lose the "HTML web page authoring" option in office97

The second part of the key in Office 97 only had to be divisible by 7. Ohh the days of lax security.

Try 8089-1111111
