i\\\\\\\'ve been having this problem for a couple of weeks now...i\\\\\\\'m able to get online and almost immediately, my computer freezes up. i have a dell dimension and use aol but the same thing happened when i used msn to go online. i ran the mcafee virus scan which returned an adware program but when i try to delete it/quarantine it, it says it is protected and can\\\\\\\'t delete/clean/quarantine. i\\\\\\\'ve called dell support and their solution is to restore the computer to it\\\\\\\'s original settings but i would lose a lot of programs/files/etc b/c i don\\\\\\\'t have a cd burner,etc...so, long story short...does this sound like a spyware/virus issue? and if so, can anyone recommend a program to purchase to help me out seeing as i can\\\\\\\'t get online to download anything?
