removing virusesConfiguration:
cannot turn off the System Restore in preparation for removing viruses already identified on my 5 year old PC desktop with a NT 4.0 operating system Operating System : Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

Well in that case no harm, go ahead and remove the viruses.
When they are removed, make sure that you delete any restore points where you feel viuses exist, thats it. If you are not sure, delete all restore points and create a new virus free restore point :)

help., kind of novice but have problem. Put on fprot antivirus. This keeps coming up C:\WINDOWS\WINSTART32.EXE.??W32/PurolA
Is there any help for this?

I have a Virus infected in My PC.
it is called Hurri.
How can I remove it.

Somebody help. My flash disk is infected with boot.malmo or hurri. Norton or mcafee wont remove. What do I do?

Am running WIN98 BOOT. MALMO Have infected the MBR,Cannot remove with Norton please give procedue on how to remove.

Hi all, Need some help. My Flash Disk is infected with Hurri Virus. I've tried Macfee to clean it but failed. Please help me.

I have Symantic Anti Virus and McAfee Virus Scan on my laptop and both scan only up to a certain point then locks up. They both find several Trojans but won't clean them out. I have disabled the restore. I have even tried to format the C drive but won't let me.
