i have always had this damn bar but now today, it has premanetly placed itself at the bottom of my screen forEVER and i dont know what to do, i got that hijackthis and i dont know what im looking for. im getting very upset, n e one explain to me what to do before i have a bloody conniption Operating System : windows xp

Motherboard : gigabyte
Hard Disk : , Space: 40 GB

I've got the damn thing too and it came when a friend (not much of one now), sent me msn plus to install.

I should have known better to install it when AVG detected a trojan virus! I got rid of them but that goddamn search bar just refuses to die!!

I used hijackthis/cwshredder to no avail. Everytime I use hijack this, I can see the toolbar entry but its a seemingly random mishmash of letters and numbers. Removing it has no effect.

I haven't tried Adaware/spybot/spysweeper yet and hopefully one of them will be able to help.

Can anyone tell me how the hell do i get rid of lop tool bar its stuck down the bottom of my screen?
