are your sure it got removed properly and did not come back. if it is coming back then you need to analyze why is it coming back.
sometimes these tools dont work properly.
remove manually and reboot and follow the removal instructions again to check if it came back (if it does, we need to analyze why).

also run hijackthis and post its log here.

also see your 'hosts' file in windows directory, if all is fine there.

try this:

open IE.
click 'Tools' > 'Internet Options' > 'Programs' tab > 'Reset Web settings'.
click yes in the confirmation box.
close IE.
open IE again and try to go to a site.

I have tried everything. I deleted the two infected user accounts. I created a new user. The new user account has it and last of the original accounts, the one not infected, still doesn't. How can this be? Shouldn't they both be affected?

Honestly mucho KUDOS.... same issue as all the above with client's XP Home and installed spybot 1.3. All gone and back online, just finished donating 50$ to the creator of spybot... worth every penny to clean this hassle and plus it's only fair to a man who made my life soooo easier for something that was free to obtain. Kudos to him and kudos to all you guys to point to him. ciao
