You may uninstall via the Add/Remove Programs in the Start Menu
1) Go to Start Menu
2) Under Settings select Control Panel
3) Select Add or Remove Programs
4) Click on Zango
5) Select Remove and follow instructions until prompted with "You have successfully uninstalled Zango" |

Hey, I've been having problems with Zango too, and as far as I can tell, it's fairly new. I've been to several websites to look for people who also have trouble with it, and haven't found a thing yet. So far everyone who has tried to help have just suggested using spybot or ad-aware, which don't work, or trying to remove, which also doesn't seem to work.
I say look on Google like I've been doing, and hope someone has figured it out.
When I try and remove it, I get a note saying it's trying to get online to uninstall, which it doesn't. From what I've heard, it installs itself along with iexplorer, so that if you delete it you may mess up your PC.
Things I've tried.
Removing
Spybot Search and Destory
Ad-Aware
System Restore
It's almost like this program causes errors so that you can't be rid of it.
On one positive note, I saw their mailing address is a short drive from me. I was just wondering if anyone could confirm if this was their real address, or if these sites tend to put up fake addresses. |

Add/Remove didn't work for me either and I contacted Zango directly to get a working uninstaller. They emailed an uninstaller directly and it worked fine. I still have it if anyone needs it. Leave your e-addresses here and I will forward the file.

I'm running Win xp & couldn't get rid of Zango using add/remove programs. Also, Ad-Aware SE Personal wouldn't run--my computer shut down automatically. I followed these steps to fix both probs:
1. Uninstalled Ad-Aware.
2. Downloaded & installed Spybot sd13 from www.Download.com. After running Spybot I was able to uninstall Zango this way:
3. Go to your computer's display properties, reduce size of screen resolution (necessary for step 5.)
4. Check to make sure you're connected to Internet.
5. In control panel/add remove programs, click to remove Zango; click OK that you're connected to internet; Zango website opens. If you've reduced screen resolution, you will see buttons to continue uninstall. You must answer all survey questions to complete uninstall.
6. Check for programs called "Cashback Buddy" and/or "Bullseye" that might have gotten into your computer with Zango... use add/remove programs to uninstall. If you don't have these, go to step 8.
7. Open and check drive C: I still found a Cashback folder here. Open it
and click on the Uninstall folder: you will go to a website like Zango where you must complete a survey to finish uninstall.
8. Go back to www.Download.com and download Ad-Aware se personal. Run it again--I found 1 remaining Zango file and a lot of Cashback Buddy files. Quarantine and delete.
Hope this helps you clean out your computer too. |

I've had Zango on my computer for about a week now, its slowing everything down and just being gay....and its the only program that "Spyware Doctor" wont get rid of. AND there is no ZANGO listed im Program files or in the control panel. I cannot find it on my computer, i just know its there. It says its in multiple locations....hell knows. I was having the same problem with removing Zango but I just rebooted and was able to get rid of it easily. Just do the following and it should work...
Reboot
Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove programs and uninstall:
Zango
You'll be given prompts.
Follow the prompts.
You will be taken to a web page.
On the webpage you click continue uninstall.
Then another page opens and does the same thing.
It does this like 3 or 4 times then finally says uninstall complete.
In Internet Explorer go to Tools | Internet Options and delete all cookies, files and all offline content when asked.
Navigate to :
C:\program files\zango <-- Delete this folder. |

I am having the same problem as the guy from Oct 12th. It shows up with Bazooka, but it is not under add/remove programs nor does it come up under a file search. I have checked the logs from bazooka and it shows Result when scanning:

you can also stop the thing from loading on start up and hence slowing down your connection by turning it off with "msconfig" (great little program its in windows) hell it wont remove zango but it does stop zango from trying to connect to the net and other nasty things |

as per the above post concerning msconfig...because zango does not load on startup it can also be uninstalled by deleting it normally. it worked for me and i think if its not running in the back ground then you dont get the error box coming up.also try turning it off with taskbar that also seemed to work goodluck |

Have just solved problem for getting rid of zango - discounnect p.c. from broadband at modem. Rebbot p.c in safe mode and go into C:program double click on zango file both of them or select all and delete, go to recycle bin and delete. Remove program from program files list and delete from recycle bin this should be the last you see of zango - don't forget to reconnect modem when you have done Good luck allcourtsand check your firewall may have been disabled. hi guys..i had zango 2 it wouldn't unistall or delete..i tried everything,but then i tried this and it worked:
1.start menu,find,files or folder
2.find:zango.
then the computer keeps searching and brings all the zango files on the whole computer..u delete them all and ur done....

Zango can be easily and completely uninstalled by choosing “Add or Remove Programs” from your Control Panel. Select Zango and follow the onscreen prompts to completely remove Zango from your computer. Note: Uninstalling Zango will NOT prevent you from getting pop-up ads from sites or products that are not affiliated with Zango.
Step-by-step instructions:

here's the problem... i'm at work and somehow ended up partially downloading zango onto my work desktop. omg! pop-ups everywhere and such a terrible slow down! zando doesn't show up on my add/remove control panel option for programs. what do i do now? i don't have the administrative authority to download software to take care of this nasty problem. and asking my supervisor for permission to do this will just be a bad idea. help! an uninstaller would be great! amy@calpath.com |

for those who cant uninstall Zango from your Add/Remove Folder in the control panel i suggest you download an antispyware program and do weekdly scans. I recommend you download and install Microsoft AntiSpyware. Do a Full Scan and i'm sure t will delete Zango.. along with other spyware/adware/trojans and it's signatures.... The program will also tell you what each spyware/adwares/trojans does to your computer. Here's the link:

You can run and online scan or download the tool from there and run yourself. |

Hello. I downlaoded zango once but fortuantly my anti virus software stoped it half way thru install :D. Though for those wanting a program like zango you can always look at: www.easymessage.net which is actually what zango is based on (without the virus).

How do i get rid of zango toolbar? when i go to add/remove programs and remove it the screen closes but it does not uninstall? what do i do? gmicieli@yahoo.com |

I got Privacy Guard and just shredded the files from my harddrive. Cleaned it right up. |
