Instructions on how to create a new database from scratch in Microsoft Access

  1. After opening Microsoft Access, click New in the File menu. Select the Blank Database option and then click OK.
  2. In the window that opens move through the folders on your hard disk until you find the location where you want to save your database, then type a name. Click Create. Your new database window will appear.
  3. Create the database objects that you need like tables, macros, forms, etc.
